The Story Behind the "Blank Check" Tee

When someone raises their right hand and takes the oath to serve, they make a promise most people will never be asked to make.

It may cost birthdays, holidays, sleep, time with family, missed first steps, anniversaries, friendships, injuries, or years spent far from home. And for some, the price becomes far greater.

The blank check represents the willingness to serve without knowing exactly what that service will demand. The dog tags represent the men and women who answered that call. The worn American flag represents the country they stepped forward to defend.

And 1776 reminds us that the freedoms Americans enjoy today were never handed to us without sacrifice.
